Ecehh. Mentang-mentang dah lulus ujian JPJ, nak buat tips-tips pula dahh Douglas ni. Minta puji tul. hahahaha.

On this year, JPJ has made few slight changes on the tests. There are additional three new tests that requires you to pass. The new additional tests are:

Vehicle Inspection Routine [VIR]
Rutin Pemeriksaan Kenderaan [RPK]

'S'- Turn
Selekoh 'S'

'Z'- Turn
Selekoh 'Z'

Here are some few tips on how I passed my tests. we start with the very first one.

1.Computer Test/ Ujian Komputer

This is your very first test that you need to pass in order to qualify yourself at getting a 'L' license. There are 50 questions and you are required to answer at least 42 questions right. In order for you to pass, all you need to you is to keep on doing the exercises again and again. Do it until you feel like you think you can pass the law test. I didn't get the exercise booklet from my driving centre so I looked up on google for the exercises. you can download by visiting HERE.

2. VIR Test/ Ujian RPK

After the 10-hours of driving lessons with your tutor, and he/she and you think that you can pass the Test already, you may proceed to the second test, which is the VIR Test. The VIR test commence on the same day, before your circuit test. In this test, you need to turn one whole big round the car and explain to the Tester what you see on the car. speak out and touch everything you see on the car and you will be appoint a mark. You need to start from the front window, move along from right to left.
Here is what you can say (In sequence):

3. Circuit Test/ Ujian Dalam Litar.

After the VIR test, you will be test on your capability at handling the car. There are 5(Five) tests in the circuit that you need to pass. The Hill, The Side Parking, The 'S' Turn, Three-Pointer and The 'Z' Turn. But before that, you are required to do the BDR(Before Driving Routine). What you need to do are:

English:

1. Always start with the brake handle first. step on the brake pedal, press the button and pull the brake handle and say "Brake handle is in good condition".
2. Adjust your chair. you are not required to say anything, but telling them that you are adjusting may be a good point.
3. Check your side mirror, both left and right.
4. Check your rear view mirror. Hold it, and adjust a lil' bit. telling them may be a good point.
5. Make sure that your gear is in "free gear".
6. Step on the clutch and start your engine. DO NOT step on the oil pedal.
7. Check all the lighted warning Icons on the metre panel.
8. Push your indicator up and down to check the light.
9. push/pull the hazard light (double signal).
10. Pull the safety belt with a shock pull (pull it hard and let go) twice to make sure the emergency belt stopper works (or whatever it called. LOL).
11. wear your safety belt. MUST. It's a mandatory. you forget this, you failed.
12. Press the honk.

Bahasa:

2. Laraskan tempat duduk anda. tak semestinya untuk bercakap, tetapi kalau boleh, bagitahu je lah. manalah tahu penguji x nampak kan?
3. Periksa kedua-dua belah cermin sisi.
4. Periksa cermin pandang belakang. pegang dan laraskan sedikit. bagitahu juga sama penguji. takut dia tak nampak.
5. Pastikan tombol gear berada dalam gear bebas.
6. Pijak "Clutch" dan hidupkan engin. JANGAN pijak pedal pemecut/minyak.
9. tekan/tarik butang Isyarat 'Hazard' (Double Signal)
11. Pakai tali pinggang keledar. MESTI INGAT. Kesalahan mandatori jikalau lupa. Gagal serta merta.
12. Bunyikan Hon.

3.1 The Hill | Pendakian/Turun Bukit.

Hill is the first obstacle you need to go through and a lot people failed at this very first point.

Going Up/ Pendakian:

During the climbing of the hill, make sure you're on your "gear one", step oil and move forward, brake when your side mirror reached the first pole, and 100% your tyre will be in the yellow Line. Pull your brake handle to hear at least 2 clicks. sometimes just one for certain car. Just pull it to the maximum. Let go of your leg from the brake pedal slowly to prevent it from sliding down, and put your head out to check the tyre (Must! Its in CITO).

Going down:

When you are ready to go down hill, step on the oil pedal. Don't step too hard. slowly carry your leg up from the clutch and stabilize between the oil and clutch. You can somehow feel the back of the car like bouncing up a lil' bit.  let go of your brake handle, step the oil pedal and carry up your leg from the leg slowly. move forward and go down slowly. make sure your did not speed.

3.2 Side Parking / Parkir Sisi

I can't really give you the tips on how to side parking because it's all depends on the circuit you are having your test at. But i'm gonna show you figures on how to side parking.

Going into the parking.
Semasa masuk kedalam kotak.

Make sure that you don't cross the white-line and make sure to straighten your car and tyre.

Going out from the parking.
Semasa Keluar dari kotak.

3.3 'S'-Turn / Selekoh 'S'

When you're in 'S'-Turn, drive slowly and don't press the oil too much. handle your steering right because in this part is all about your capability in handling the steering.

3.4 Three-Pointer / Tiga-Penjuru

Three pointer is where you are required to go in, reverse 90 degree to your right,  and get out 90 degree to your left. Your tutor will teach you that for sure but what is important here is, it must be THREE Point. when you are getting out from the box, do not stop by the white strip line. Stop your car when you are fully out from that 3-pointer box, or else you will automatically fail. remember, Get all your car body out from there before you stop.

Tiga penjuru adalah ujian dimana anda perlu maju kehadapan, undur 90 darjah kesebelah kanan dan keluar 90 darjah kesebelah kiri. tutor anda akan ajar. Yang penting dalam ujian ini adalah anda mesti keluar dari kotak hanya dalam 3 keberhentian (is that a word? LOL). jangan berhenti dibelakang garisan putih semasa keluar. pastikan kenderaan anda keluar dari kotak habis-habisan barulah anda berhenti, kalau tidak, anda telah mendapat satu kesalahan mandatori. Ingat, keluar habis barulah berhenti.

3.5 'Z'- Turn / Selekoh 'Z'

'Z'- Turn, the last one before the road test and if you fail this, it's very wasteful. in 'Z'-turn, all you need to do is to play with your clutch and brake. it is not necessary for you to step on the oil pedal. lifting up your clutch a lil' will basically make your car move. just remember, whenever u want to brake, step on the clutch, or else you car engine will shut down and you fail.

4. On-The-Road / Ujian Di Jalan Raya.

The last one. in this part, you need to do the BDR once more before moving your vehicle. after you have done your BDR, just drive safely and make sure you signal every-time you wanna turn left or right or whatsoever. when going up hill, use gear one, or if you think you're good, gear two wouldn't be a problem. don't drive surpassing 60kmph, if not you will commit the mandatory of over-passing the speed-limit.

Yaaanngg terakhir. dalam Ujian ini, anda perlu lakukan RSM sekali lagi sebelum memulakan perjalanan. lepas dah habis RSM, pandulah dengan cermat dan berhati-hati. pastikan anda gunakan tanda isyarat setiap masa bila nak pusing ke kiri ke kanan ke apa-apa lahhh. asalkan signal. naik bukit gunalah gear satu. kalau pro gunalah gear dua. jangan pandu melepasi 60kmsj, kalau tidak maka anda telah mendapat satu kesalahan mandatori dimana anda telah melepasi had-laju.

I think... that's all! 4 jam aku tulis ni benda wehhhhh. Hahahaha. Anyway, All the best to those who are going through the JPJ test. Apa-apa pun, Lulus ataupun kandas, janganlah sedih. boleh ulang lagi. tapi kalau boleh lulus at one-go, that's the best lah of course. hahaha. Once again, Good luck and all the best!

Selfie tak mengena tempat. hahahahaha. K bye.

Written for a friend of mine that will be taking her JPJ test this coming August.

    1. Hi Nurul, Mandatori adalah perkara yg mesti lakukan. Kalau lupa, maksudnya gagal terus.

      Contohnya,
      1. Sebelum memandu, mesti tarik-lepas-tarik kuat2 tali keledar dan pakai. Kalau Lupa pakai, Gagal. Kena mula balik semua.

2.Time memandu, especially time selekoh atau 3 penjuru, jangan kena sisi jalan. Kena, gagal juga. Kesalahan Mandatori. Kalau naik atas Kaki lima lagi la gagal. hahahaha.

Anyway, pandu jak perlahan2. No need to rush. All the best!
